Caraway seeds are traditionally used as carminative and anti-flatulent. Caraway has a warm, sweet and slightly peppery aroma, rich in minerals, vitamins and antioxidants.  

Caraway seeds are a spice made from the dried fruit of a plant known as Carum carvi. A member of the parsley family, caraway seeds are not technically seeds, but fruits. Caraway seeds are similar in flavor to aniseed and are often used as a substitute for one another.  Caraway is often used in baking, for flavoring curries and for pickling.
